+ CONCEPT :
My senior project speaks of the subject of motherhood. Behind every extraordinary story is always a mother’s story, because hers is where ours begins. The project's purpose is to give mothers chances to speak of what goes on in side the mother’s heart. The animation explores deeper into their fear, their endurance, their strength, and their experience of being a mother. The animation features letters written from different mothers to their children that I collected within the course of 6 months. These mothers come from every walk of life and they all have many things to say to their children. A motion piece will bring pieces and highlights of these letters together and presents it in an emotional and aesthetic way.
The imagery and scenery that is shown through out the film inspires by memories of places and I have been to with my own mother.
